"Belonging to CAPO gives me hope, as I am connected to an amazing group of passionate professionals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers. Belonging to CAPO allows me to connect with professionals and other with lived experience to advocate for improved psychosocial and other supportive services across Canada. My most meaningful CAPO experience was the reaction to me sharing my personal cancer story at the CAPO 2025 conference. It demonstrated how important the voice of people with lived experience is to the work we do and helps validate all the work CAPO members do. What I bring to CAPO is the voice of a cancer survivor who benefitted from psychosocial support and my passion for speaking out so that all Canadians impacted by cancer have access to these services."
