The Student Liaison to the Board (2024-2026 term): 

Rachelle Drummond

Rachelle Drummond is currently a 2nd year Master of Science student at the University of Calgary- Cumming School of Medicine. Inspired by her experiences as a survivor of childhood cancer and active volunteer in the pediatric oncology setting, her ongoing research is based in psychosocial oncology, with a specific focus on improving the long-term follow-up care experiences of survivors and the prevention and management of late effects. In 2022, Rachelle completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, with research focused in health and social policy. Rachelle is currently employed as a research associate at the O’Brien Institute for Health- Centre for Health Policy. In her current role, Rachelle has had the opportunity to lead and conduct research across a wide range of policy topics, including but not limited to, health system sustainability, primary care reform, as well as chronic disease and aging. In fall of 2024, Rachelle will begin the combined MSc/PhD program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Calgary.
