CAPO is run by a volunteer board of directors dedicated to the goals of the organization. As a national, multidisciplinary organization, the composition of the board must include representation from the following disciplines:

  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Medicine
  • Re-Hab Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Pastoral/Spiritual Care

Call for CAPO Board Nominations - EXTENDED: Submit by April 15

This is to inform you that the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO) is issuing a Call for Nominations for election to the Board of Directors. Positions are available for the following discipline groups:
  • Medicine
  • Rehabilitation Services
  • Spiritual/pastoral Care
  • Nursing
Click here to review details that outline the steps to follow to nominate a CAPO member to stand for election to the Board.  You must comply with the instructions to ensure that the names you submit are accepted for nomination. Nominations MUST be received by the Nominating Committee Chairperson no later than APRIL 15, 2019. The election will be held immediately subsequent to the close of the nomination procedure.

Candidates for board positions should be aware that as an elected board member, there will be an obligation to attend monthly board conference calls and participate in one to two in-person meetings per year. The next in-person meeting will be held on September 22, 2019 in Banff, Alberta, preceding the 2019 CAPO/IPOS conference.
