PLEASE REVIEW IF ATTENDING IN-PERSON - SAFETY FIRST:

  1. While mask mandates have been lifted in the province of Ontario, most hospitals across the province have kept mask rules in place for visitors and staff, pointing to risk factors among their patients. As such, the Congress planning committee, having encouraged patient participation at the World Congress, will follow the lead set out from local institutions. ALL in-person attendees must be equipped with a mask to wear in common areas and session rooms (only removing them when presenting/eating/drinking). We recommend high-quality medical-grade masks or approved respirators (e.g., N95, KN95). If you have a medical reason for not being able to wear a mask, please email [email protected] by August 15 so we can make note in your registration record. Please also take note of individual delegate comfort levels, which will be easily identified on their name badges (see point 4.) and engage with them accordingly.
  2. We highly recommend all in-person attendees be fully vaccinated.
  3. The venue will be following all local government protocols. Refer to  amp;source=gmail&ust=1657300732842000&usg=AOvVaw0ycZrc4qlRLPeY37fOe_KV" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">https://covid-19.ontario.ca/public-health-measures
  4. Coloured stickers will be provided to attendees to place on their name badge (when they check-in) to signify registrant comfort levels around close contact. For example, 1) RED - please keep a safe distance 2) YELLOW - close proximity welcome with no physical contact, 3) GREEN - close and physical contact welcomed. Be sure to make note of the colour sticker of your fellow attendees.
  5. Stay home/participate virtually if you feel unwell or are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. If unwell, we ask you to complete a COVID-19 test and quarantine until a negative result is confirmed. If needed, COVID-19 tests can be purchased locally. Please note, with currently circulating COVID-19 variants, it is common for rapid tests to be unable to detect COVID-19 until several days into infection – hence even if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and are testing negative, please participate virtually.
