Deborah

Dr. Deborah McLeod – Project Lead

Dr. McLeod was appointed as a Clinician Scientist in Nursing with the Capital Health Cancer Care Program in 2003. In this capacity, Dr. McLeod is a member of the Psychosocial Oncology Team at the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre, practices as a clinician with that team, particularly in the area of couple and family therapy, and conducts clinical research in the areas of family systems nursing, couple interventions in prostate and breast cancer, including sexual rehabilitation, and online support groups . Dr. McLeod holds a joint appointment as an Assistant Professor with the School of Nursing at Dalhousie University. She is the past chairperson of the Education Committee of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO) (2003-2008); member of the Board of Directors (2003-2008) and was recently re-elected to the Board as Vice-President (2009-2010) [email protected]

Serge

Dr. Serge Dumont

Dr. Dumont holds positions at Université Laval as an associate professor of social work and is Director of the doctoral program. Dr. Dumont holds a 3–year career research award from CIHR and is a researcher with the highly competitive psychosocial oncology research team at the L’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec Cancer Research Center, and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research for Social Rehabilitation and Integration. The Center provides advanced practice education and research training in psychosocial oncology to students in multiple disciplines, including social work, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, psychologists, physicians, oncologists, spiritual care providers and occupational therapists. John

Dr. John Robinson

John is a Clinical Psychologist at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and an adjunct associate professor of Oncology and Clinical Psychology at the University of Calgary. He is also an executive member of the National Cancer Institute of Canada’s Genital Urinary Clinical Trials Committee and the past director of Calgary’s internship in adult clinical psychology. John has published widely and holds several research grants in the area of sexuality and cancer. He is a consultant to several cancer centres’ sexuality programs in Canada and the USA. Angela

Ms. Angela Morck – Research Associate

Angela holds undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology and a Masters of Nursing with a specialization in family systems and the therapeutic relationship. Her clinical focus is in mental health and she currently works with families experiencing acute mental health crises. She has held numerous research positions on national and international projects in the areas of family nursing, pedagogy and patient safety. [email protected]

Natasha

Ms. Natasha Boutilier – Administrative Co-ordinator

Natasha brings a strong administrative background to our team. Natasha comes to us from Dalhousie University’s School of Nursing were she held the role of Undergraduate Admissions Secretary. In this role she provided support to the prospective and current students and coordinated the undergraduate admissions process. Natasha is currently working towards her Bachelor of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University.

As the Administrative Coordinator, Natasha contributes to the planning and coordination of the project along with day-to-day administrative tasks.

Ms. Chanda Kolibas – IT Support

Chanda Kolibas is currently a computer science student at Mount St. Vincent University. She was previously employed in the military as a helicopter electronics specialist and served two tours of duty in Iraq in that capacity. Since joining the IPODE project she has contributed to the development of our website and provided IT support to students and faculty. [email protected]
