Mission


The purpose of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology is to foster and encourage interdisciplinary excellence in psychosocial research education and clinical practice in oncology.

Goals
  1. To provide a national network for the exchange of ideas between clinicians, researchers and educators.
  2. To actively foster and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration in oncology clinics and services.
  3. To establish and promote sound research and clinical practice guidelines.
  4. To promote and encourage psychosocial research.
  5. To provide and promote ongoing education programs directed towards strengthening clinical practice and research methodology.
  6. To promote and encourage multi-centre collaboration in clinical service, research and education.
  7. To offer advice and/or consultation services to members of the Association and to international, federal, provincial and local programs.
